The signing ceremony of the annual performance agreement for the year 2023-2024 was completed on May 5, 2023 in a solemn and dignified atmosphere. The agreement was signed between the Upazila Cooperative Officer, Sarail and District Cooperative Officer, Brahmanbaria. By increasing the capacity of the cooperatives and creating entrepreneurship, agriculture, non-agriculture, financial The aim of this agreement is to build a sustainable cooperative in the service sector. For this purpose, the Upazila Cooperative Department, Sarail will work on 8 issues throughout the year. The issues are-


Functions :

Encouraging and registering cooperative principles;

Establishing good governance through cooperative audit, inspection and supervision;

To enhance the professional skills of the officers/employees of the Cooperative Directorate by providing training/higher training opportunities;

Provide assistance in skill development and entrepreneurship through training to cooperative members;

Capital formation through capital formation and investment and development of cooperative business enterprises;

Empowerment and socio-economic development of rural women through cooperative based projects and programmes;

Cooperative product branding also establishes market linkages;

To assist the Directorate of Cooperatives in formulating and implementing policies, development programs and development projects necessary to achieve the objectives;
